The WPYC Outstation is now in position, and ready for use.
It has recently been relocated just outside of the Park Boundary, and lies on the northern-most point of Bull Island.
Donations are needed today!
The Welcome Pass Yacht Club has been given a unique opportunity to help launch a permanent mooring buoy off of Jedediah/Lasqueti in Bull Passage.
This will cost the club roughly $1500
Please don't let this opportunity pass! We are depending on your donations for years of opportunity!
Thank you to those that have donated so far!
The WPYC has so far received $750 in donations on the Gofundme account, and an additional $100 in cash donations.
We are moving further to our goal of an outstation, but we still need your help.
Currently we have acquired an official mooring buoy, rope, chain and attachment hardware, but logistics are still a big hurdle!
We are determined to make this happen, so thank you for everyone that has helped us achieve this goal! Even without the funds to cover a barge launch of a concrete block, our alternative method will be held by two truck tires of concrete, about a 650lbs solution, which will be capable of holding some fine big yachts, but there is risk and strategy involved in the deployment of such set-up.
Please donate today! Helping out with $50, $100, or more will really make a difference that will offer permanent safe moorage in an amazing location, for all of us to use.
Once the Mooring Buoy is in place, it will be able to hold a flotilla of yachters to share memories together.

Dear all,
Don’t let Covid-19 get you down.
We have a new normal that will get better in time, but we all must adapt to the socially acceptable norms. The great news here is that by rafting up with your friends in your own boats, it’s easy to stay 6’ apart.
We will be adding new flotation to the WPYC Dock, and improving the positioning of the dock to allow a deeper draft at low tide.
Mark down in your calendars, July 1st, all membership renewals are due.
Save the Date: The AGM meeting will be set for June 27th at the WPYC Dock
Keep in mind, that merchanidse is available through the members page, and any custom requests that you don’t see online, just send an email and we will be in touch!
Happy yachting.
The Dock has been stowed away for the Winter Season.
Back next Spring with improved anchoring and position!
Throughout the shoulder season, it is encouraged for members to meet in the cove at anchor for some cool times.
Happy Thanksgiving all
The dock is afloat and ready for summer fun.
The yacht club will hold much more than a dock to meet at. It consists of raft ups all over the coast, Things are spontaneous, and the future may hold various moorings and is actively seeking affiliate clubs.
The Un-Welcome Pass Dock is slated to begin construction June 30th.
The Dock will be 20’-6” in length, and 5’ wide, constructed using barrel floatation and a pressure treated frame.
It will be tethered to the rock from the back, and held in place with two anchors from either end once in place in Franchmans.
Membership Fees will be posted July 01/2019 to all new members. Burgee’s will be distributed at that time!
Here we birth the Welcome Pass Yacht Club.
A sincere thank you to those who have been a part of the WPYC from the beginning. As we grow, our family gets larger. This is the beginning of something special, and a way of connecting with soda pops, and salt water dips.
